Alta-1 College Joondalup Senior Campus

absolute hell of a school, had a friend get offered to be exorcised by an EA because they have DID, finished my cert in general education and they basically left me to do nothing the rest of the year and barely helped me with work when needed.
had a student deadnaming and calling people slurs and the school told us to leave deal with it because the student was graduating at the end of the year in 6 weeks. horrible and would not reccomend if your child has any mental health issues

I did the connect-Ed program and I absolutely loved it, made friends, helped me get out of my shell slowly and set me up to really recover from mental illness struggles and succeed in life, I left half way through year 10 to start tafe and I never would have been able to even pass olna let alone be accepted into a tafe course with how bad my mental health was before but i’m setting myself up to work in a field where I can hopefully do for others what Alta-1 did for me, I loved the self paced work and how they personalise it to your learning level instead of cramming you in where they think your age group should be like mainstream school. My teachers were nurturing and encouraging and really empowered me by building on my strengths and passions.
