Pretty bad school

I dislike the school. Facilities are great but they focus too heavily on academics. They don’t teach us the basics on what we need to know in life such as how to cook or trades because they expect us to all be scientists or doctors or something. The teachers are lacking in care for students most of the time and just seem like they want the day over with when it first starts. I have been here since 3yr old kinder and it has been focused on anything but trying to make the day at least a tiny bit entertaining for students. Most of the time half the class is asleep or zoned out and the culture from students is toxic. The teachers don’t actually care about our mental health and don’t really check in with us about it. In year 7 as well we were already loaded with 1hr of homework a day. In yr 9 it’s 1hr 50min a day and it’s just a pain in the ass to cope with. Food from the cafe there is low standard too. Sometimes they run out completely and I’ve gotten raw chicken from them before. They try to make everything healthy and in the process make the food taste like ass

Ballarat Clarendon

I have attended BCC for my whole life and have really loved it. Personally, I have experienced some light bullying but I think that is pretty easy to avoid here. There is school counselling available and several mental health programs going on. I find the classes enjoyable but obviously that varies depending on the person. I think the bad thing is that not everyone can afford a school like this and even my families is struggling to pay the school fees.
