Before Bradfield, schools felt like a restrictive bubble—institutions that recognised and praised good grades, but rarely celebrated individuality. Shouldn’t the main purpose of education be to support a student’s truest potential—not just academically, but personally? To provide the tools and space to choose our own paths, and the resources to build meaningful lives?
Most schools lack genuine representation of their student bodies. They focus on overachievement in narrow, traditional directions—not every student wants to, or even can, follow those paths.
Bradfield changed my entire perception of what schooling can be—not just in terms of the education system, but in understanding what makes a learning environment truly meaningful and thriving. The teachers here are people I will always remember and deeply appreciate.
This might sound like high praise, but for someone who never felt they belonged in any previous institution—who never encountered likeminded peers or adults—Bradfield has been genuinely transformative. The style of teaching and the school’s approach to learning have not only encouraged but actively challenged me to explore my creativity and realise my own potential.
I’ll admit, like every institution, it has its flaws. I’m not going to say it’s perfect. Socially, I faced challenges. But I also formed friendships with people I create and connect with—relationships I genuinely value and will remember. I think your experience depends on your own circumstances, intentions, and what you’re looking for.
Ultimately, this school has made a real difference in my life. And I believe it has the potential to do the same for many others—especially those who feel out of place in traditional school environments. Whether you’re looking to deepen your creative or intellectual side, or simply want to finish high school in a way that works for you—this is your opportunity,
Thankyou Bradfield.

there’s a stigma around this school that students don’t learn at all and it’s a “druggie” school. that isn’t anything to do with the school itself, it’s to do with the students. i’m a student there at the moment, and i’m learning so much and getting a great education in all my classes, achieving A’s and B’s in every subject. the problem is the students who decide to skip class, not do any work etc. it doesn’t mean the school is a bad one though, i find it to be amazing and it adjusts to all my needs. if anything, students should try their best to learn at this school because it’s way more lenient and gives students a better way of learning than most schools in nsw.
