In principal it's a good school with amazing programs for students to grow and learn. As a student at Carey i can tell they are truly trying to be inclusive to all children, but this does not filter through to the actual students. The bullying at Carey is some of the worse i've ever seen, over 10 students have been bullied out of the school in my year level alone, kids vandalise almost everything and barely pay attention in class, and the ones that do get mocked and are pushed out of popular friendgroups. Overall, don't send your child to Carey. As someone who has been here since year 2021 it is not worth it, im actively attempting to find a new school to move to.
The school it’s offers great experiences and has all of the means to bring out the best in students, however the school has a lot of clicks which either means that you would do well in school and get bullied or not do well have lots of friends. The school itself tries to fix these issues but it becomes challenging. I would say that before sending your kids here take into consideration that you’ll be spending $35,000 and more so if your child isn’t going to appreciate it or try your better of sending them elsewhere. Although there is a lot of bullying there are a lot of Resources such as psychologists, gender equity group, LGBT+ group. The school is a great school but take into account how your child will fit in and you as the parents are a different breed.
