a few small issues

Would I consider DSHS a bad school? No. But there are flaws. An issue that a few of my friends and I have noticed is that teachers seem to care too much about minor, insignificant, or seemingly nonexistent conflicts or issues, and then pay very little attention to real or important issues. I've seen a teacher telling people off for not wearing hats on a cloudy day, and ignoring a group of boys wrestling one another a few meters away.

IN DEPTH- DSHS review (negative)

The school shows little to no care for their well-being of their students. Very hard to find support for the students, especially with conflict. Conflict is rarely solved, with dishing out suspensions and detentions when not necessary. Guidance officers however are very supportive but with a busy schedule. Unfortunately having a child at this school, I no longer will be having them attend. Too many students with no care for individual matters. The students future is not their focus, only the schools reputation in Dalby. Would not recommend sending any child here, and it is survival of the fittest.
Curriculum seems messed up especially with the amount of break times and only 4 days schooling per week (for seniors)
Students seem more stressed as the fact there is only 5 subjects, with making it necessary to pass all in order for the QCE points. There is no alternative subject for the student to relax a bit and enjoy being in Highschool, without the pressure from failing with little help from teachers.
Staff and teachers seem fine, I have heard good things coming from the health and sport department. But nothing to put of the ordinary. The principal however does not seem present in most events and is not a very confrontational person. I have never even spoken to him since enrolling in school, he may be a busy man but I can say it doesn’t feel as though it is HIS school.
Safety of the school is fine, although the small fences around the oval seem to not be so safe with letting intruders in the school, or to stop children from “wagging”. Fights don’t happen too often with children but when they do, consequences seem to be put in place well before anything seems to be resolved. (Due to the lack of support)
Lack of indoor sporting facilities, I have heard over a number of times that students are forced to sit in a HOT Hall every week for around 70 mins + (Including PAW class).
Dalby state high does have a great oval with plenty of space, however their courts for tennis and netball seem old and ruined with a concern for the metal nets being rundown and may cause an issue in future.
The tuckshop I have heard supplies good food, most of the ladies there are welcoming. Good price is a bit dear however. Lines are overwhelming long at break time, with this many students wouldn’t u think to have a bigger Tuckshop? Students have stated that they could wait in line for around 10-15 mins before receiving their food.

DHSH review and criticism

Dalby SHS and Bunya Campus both have amazing staff and students, but when it comes to asking a question in class about how do something, you will most likely be shot down by someone else, or they will straight up just not help. VERY bad when it comes to that.

Dalby State High

It’s a really strict school especially for a public school. Girls aren’t even aloud to wear hair ties on wrists without getting in trouble and most the teachers have no idea what they are doing.

It’s pretty good ngl there are a fair few rules tho and they are strick as with uniform, but there is a good trade training centre and an all right ag program.
