Edenbrook Secondary College

I’ve been going here since year 7 when they first opened, I am apart of their first graduate class. The school doesn’t try hard to give us what we need, we as a year level have been asking for things such as a formal and Deb since year 9-10 which gives them more then enough time to plan one but yet when we ask them about it this year they said we did not give them enough time to plan it. As year 12s we aren’t even aloud to stay inside our senior building to study like other schools such as officer. We have also been asking about a common room or a microwave which they didn’t even consider. We also had to ask and try and plan for year 12 jackets. We had one of our students asked to make designs that were well fitted for the school full navy blue varsity jackets just for the school to make their own designs and not update out student on the details about it. The jacket we have just received and paid $130 for has bright read sleeve and made of full polyester, the pockets aren’t even attached properly on the inside. We have been asking for year 12 jackets for 2 years prior so they wouldn’t be bad quality and so we’d enjoy wearing them.

For the past 10 months, my child has been subjected to repeated bullying, including verbal abuse, being filmed in class against his wishes (with the video posted on social media), and even being physically attacked by a group of students on school grounds (caught on CCTV).

We’ve reported every incident to the school and attended numerous meetings, but despite this, the bullying has continued. My child’s mental health has deteriorated badly, he’s now struggling with severe anxiety about attending school. His counsellor has strongly recommended withdrawing him immediately for his well-being, On top of that we went through the same thing with our daughter where we had to get an intervention order out on another student that kept continually assaulting our daughter causing a concussion, stitches in her face, they do not stick to their bullying policies at all

We have had so many issues with the school
Dealing with a very controlling teacher and not getting the help we have asked for, for years now. Very dissapointed and won’t be sending my other children there

Bad school don’t go there people there are mostly eshays and they own the school teacher don’t care and mostly care about there selfs for pride stuff

This school has been horrible when it comes to bullying i am currently being bullied at the collage and they do Jack shit about it and they do a poor job hiring teachers most of them are young and don’t have a clue of what they are doing and most of the teachers are bullies to there students
