too expensive to be this bad. some teachers can be really insensitive and just plain stupid. i met a teacher who couldn't answer an 8th grade question when i asked for help, and she just told me 'sorry i don't know' and didn't even offer to ask someone else to help me. they let bullying and racism slide.
