Kinross College

I moved into this school the very first day of year 8 from Belridge Secondary College and I can safely say that this school is a joke when it comes to supporting students. From day dot I was bullied, ridiculed and criticised for simply being new and outgoing (trying to make friends), as I had recently moved out of a long-term foster home into my previous respite family’s home. The school was 100% aware of this and after many complaints they finally moved me out of the classes I was being bullied in. They then put me in with the exact same people the next year and NEVER addressed the issue properly or punished/disciplined the culprits. Ever since my experience at that school I have had permanent psychological damage to my mental health impacting my ability to grow as a person and adult in the world. I felt stronger before this school. Please do not send your kid there if they’re shy or struggle to socialise. PLEASE. It also took much convincing to move me into the extension class for English as I very easily excelled in that subject did not even have to pay much attention to get an A, but they were deadset on keeping me where I was and stunting my academic growth. I was clearly and perfectly eligible for ATAR and passed NAPLAN straight away and they still questioned my abilities because of personal issues with me and my older foster siblings who attended the school as well. Kinross College is a terrible school, the canteen prices are way too high for the food quality, my laptop was recalled for a battery problem, then held hostage for 2 months because they were too embarrassed to email my parents about the "problem". The teachers can't even show up to school for at least half the week, for example my English teacher has not taught my class for 3 months, I Have not had a designated English teacher since term 1, I have had relief teachers since term 1 week 2, that's right, the beginning of the year on the second week of school. This is an absolute horrible school, if you want your child to get a good education and succeed in life DO NOT send them to Kinross College.

shitty school. picking up teachers from the side of the road. people bully the shit out of you, and they do absoluetly (i cant spell bc they didnt teach me how to) they do nothing about the bullying. teachers changing every 2 days. everything in the canteen is so expensive like dawg. they keep on changing exams which is stupid.
