Seems like leadership only cares about the school looking good for marketing, as compared to real student experience and learning.
Students are left with their voices unheard and feel that VCE is not worth the money; public schools get better results than this school, and many teachers make it seem like teaching is a burden to them rather than being passionate about their career.
The student experience is very average, including facilities, where younger students are given many fun experiences to give a good impression of the school, while senior students and parents easily see past the 'perfect' cover of the school. Misbehaviour from one group of students results in consequences for the whole school, including denying bathroom privileges, at an all-girls, teenage school, where girls need to urgently go to the bathroom, and must wait in lines at certain times because everyone needs to go, instead of just punishing said students and allowing others to continue about their day.
The school proclaims their 'compassion' in the motto, but when students are struggling, they are not met with compassion; they are met with harshness and exclusion.
Overall, behind the school's very hardworking marketing team, it seems that, really, all they care about is our money, which seems to disappear before anything meaningful is done.
I tried to change my address on the documents school refers to and despite confirming with me the information was changed, they STILL sent my VCE certificate to the wrong address and now I DONT HAVE ACCESS TO MY VCE CERTIFICATE. This school is actually useless when it comes to communication.
The way they treat struggling students is also just terrible. Are you struggling with your mental health? Don’t worry, the deputy principal will just yell at you telling you how much of a problem you are and then suspend you because as long as you’re not on school grounds, whatever happens to you isn’t their problem.
never never never send your kids here. actually no, if your child is a perfect average grade sport adjacent person with 0 mental health issues they will be fine. if your kid is ANYTHING else their school career here will be hell. teachers are not supportive, the male teachers care more about the length of your skirt than your education. worst of all when your child reaches out for mental health help saying they feel like ending their own life a certain year 12 male coordinator will look her in the eyes and say she needs to “suck it up and get over it”. for your child’s sake never never send them here.
Really average. Not worth the fees. Facilities and educational programs don't compare to other schools with same fee structure. Limited support for students with additional learning needs.
Supportive and caring environment, something for everyone!
My daughter has started year 7 this year (2024), with some additional needs, and this school has wrapped around her like a glove. An individual learning plan has already been put into place, initiated by the school, and she is very well supported by her teachers.
The year 7 coordinator in particular is just awesome, and has been instrumental in helping the new cohort settle into school. All the girls have been encouraged to make new friends, and my daughter now has a fabulous friendship group.
My girl is not overly sporty, but has really enjoyed her music lessons, her product design & technology classes and French. There is something for everyone, as well as a variety of clubs and groups that students can opt into if they want to. As a relatively quiet child who likes reading, creative writing and music, her needs have been well catered for.
As a student who was a lot of extra needs the teachers and staff who work in that area are good at controlling it. Some teachers do not get it, and there is a issue with the substitute teachers. They are not good at all and there is shortened staff. The school is heavily centred around sport and other things like music and art has little funding compared to that. Around half the students are really posh, pushy and annoying. It’s hard to go into the bathroom because there is people in year 11! Banging on the doors, screaming at you while they make tiktoks and vape. I have health issues and some of the stuff the students do triggers that, all the staff did to help was to put up posters and they were taken down by the students pretty quick. The staff is very trustworthy but the students make me feel unsafe. The School is good for girls who like sport and are popular, if you a shy kid who likes art you will never feel like you fit in right. I recommend this school for sporty girls but that is about it. Staff are really nice, students are horrible. Get better funding and stop forcing students to give money.
