Seymour College

Very poor experience at this school. They talk about optimal educational outcomes for girls but the snobbery and elitism really undermines this. They need to open the school up a bit to more diversity - class and race. They are scrambling for enrolments and it's self-evident why. This sort of crusty antiquated old school institutions are dead.

Our experience with Seymour College has been extremely disappointing. The lack of transparency, accountability, friendliness and professionalism in handling important matters is a major concern. Seymour College feels like a typical Adelaide institution—cliquey and overly confident. While it promotes values like leadership and accountability, these are inconsistently applied and with clear bias, leaving parents and students feeling frustrated and dismissed. Overall, don’t waste your money. There are better schools than Seymour, and I regret sending my daughter here.

(Review of the secondary school) This school is described as worse than it actually is. Most of the teachers are very friendly but there is a staff shortage in the whole of Australia, so most positions are filled by CRT’s which can be a pain if you’re needing help and they aren’t actually experienced in the certain field. On the other hand, students are students. There are a good amount of elective subjects with subjects ranging from advanced PE to art. Some educators are very passionate about their jobs and classes and it shows, which classes students are more engaged in than others. Unfortunately bathrooms are locked for the majority, if not all day in attempt to stop select students from trashing them. This is not good for well behaved students who are just trying to relieve themselves, and can have short and long term effects on students if they hold on all day.
