this school is okay at best. yeah, the education is alright but that seems to be all any of the staff there care about. there’s no support for people who are being bullied, like there is no one stopping any bullying at all. the support for students who struggle with mental health issues (such as me) is almost nonexistent. yeah, there’s timeout cards but you’re only allowed to spend 15 minutes out of class in a stuffy room with a beanbag or two. you could be having the worst panic attack ever and no teachers seem to care, they let you sit outside the classroom for maybe 2 minutes unless you have a timeout card and even then they’re hesitant to let you use it. i didn’t get a timeout card until the start of year 9, and i have countless mental disorders and disabilities that seriously affect my ability to cope with things and do well in class. yet some kids who seemingly don’t have any problems whatsoever (they just make trouble in class) got timeout cards as soon as they were admitted into the school. the environment of the physical school is okay but lately it seems like they are constantly putting a new area under construction, causing blockages in certain areas of the school which makes people late. last year in term 4 it was like a whole maze just trying to get from one side of the campus to the other. there’s a significant lack of buses that go to gordon and if you’re lucky enough to actually get on the gordon bus it’s always full, there’s no control over a lot of entitled students who think they own the place and there’s barely any security to the point where people can walk out of the school at any given time and no one would question it. a lot of things need to be worked on here.
