Good school

This is from the perspective of a 2023 grade 8 student.

It is pretty good compared to the first Toowoomba school I went to and is not as loose as Harristown as students are generally well behaved and obedient but is not as strict as schools such as st Ursula’s. I don’t like the fact that there is not a lot of variety in terms of racial backgrounds but teachers tend to be welcoming to those students anyway. I (although it is irrelevant to me) enjoy how welcoming the school is to students involved in anime and lgbtq+ as there is an anime club and celebratory days concerning the lgbtq+ community. The teachers are nice although we are bound to end up with some bad ones the school holds lots of celebratory activities such as art week with music jams and face paint and st Joseph’s day with own choice rotational activities and food stands. I love how there are opportunities for older students to do what they love and participate in many career opportunities given by the school (and I mean LOTS) as well as things at school regarding classes such as food stalls for business class. The school also holds lots of opportunities for students in band and choir such as a music camp every year. There is also breakfast club and vinnies where you can give back and help the community. Most students are nice and welcoming but there are always those who you must be careful of but there’s a friend group for everyone and once you find that group you will feel like you really belong and have someone at your back. Overall, pretty good school, if you do well it’s pretty easy to find your place and yeah pretty good.

Not a welcoming environment

The only good part of the school was the wide range of economic background of the kids however thank to them increasing cost we will see less of this. They have a homophobic environment and provide very little accessibility for students with disablity. They have had teaching staff say racist and homophobic remarks. They do not adress bulling at all.
