I've had a daughter do year 7 & 8 then moved schools that only did yr 9 and 10.
Now i have my son in year 7. He was such an easy going kid but now having anxiety and crying even the night before because he doesn't want to go. He has said kids are always vaping in toilets the swearing and fights are out of control. I feel for the teachers but it seems they have given up trying. My daughter and son says they just put movies on. I've talked to a few teachers/ year advisors but nothing changes.
The principals speech to parents/ kids on orientation day for yr 7 was horrible, no eye contact and reading a heap of rules from notes.
I'm considering home schooling as only 1 term in and my sons traumatised.
Very bad school a lot of fights, bullying, neglecting students by deputies and well-being staff, … it’s mostly just the teachers it used to be okay but they’ve gotten such bad teachers who don’t know how to do their jobs there’s probably only about 2 or 3 okay teachers the rest are straight up rude and will do anything to get you in trouble
I only attended this highschool from year 7 to 10 and let me say this school is absolute rubbish, there homophobic and transphobic. They don't care if you get harmed they will just brush it off. They don't care about their students if the student has nothing to offer them like myself, not high enough grades, teachers talk badly about students and they don't treat everyone equally. If you don't seem like a good student (curricula whise) they will not let you be friends with people in a year below you. Absolutely rubbish and the principal does absolutely nothing except eat and watch things on his phone. The school is not safe inside or outside, you will get badly harmes if ur different and they will do nothing. Inside classrooms are not even safe as you will still get harmed by other students or belittled by teachers or the deputy principals
