Trinity Christian School, Canberra

We had high hopes for this school however due to incorrect information provided by the school, we missed the intake and were left without a school for our child, leaving him in tears as he will no longer be joining his friends. We expected the school to honour their word (being a Christian school we expected this) however we were advised there was nothing they could do and suggested we restart the application process, including paying another enrolment fee, and join the long wait list. They also promised to call us after discussing internally to see if there was anything that could be done, which never happened. Very sad and disappointed to write this review however hope it helps others. It appears this school is without Christian values, and just another business.

Not a perfect school, but overall this place is great. Students are good, most teachers care and try their best. The uniform rules have relaxed recently. Buildings are slowly being renovated over time so classrooms are getting nicer. Overall it’s a better environment than nearby public schools based on my experiences, safer and not out of control.

Despite paying $9000 a year for primary education, the school is severely lacking in services expected by modern working families. School has no canteen, no holiday care program, virtually no extra curriculum activities, no celebrations or fun days such as discos, colour runs, Easter celebrations. It recently had 8 weeks of school holidays over the summer with no holiday care. The school says that Christian education is a theme that runs through every element of the curriculum. In fact it is the only theme and there is no opportunities for kids to broaden their educational scope or experience. The school community is closed off and focussed on church goers only. The class sizes are very large, f on year 1 they are around 28 kids. I’m not actually sure what parents get for the extra money they pay here. The school has moved to an online platform for communication with limited to no info in child progress. Public schools seem to offer so much more.

School is overpriced, teachers are literal bullies, stupid christian rules like no self defense, stupidly strict uniform, spastic students and education is delayed.
