Woodvale Secondary College

this school is very bad the teacher acts careless and do not teach properly most of these teachers put of slideshows that they found online and don't even tell any students what they have done wrong and if you ask, they will get mad and say they are busy when students are just trying to learn from their mistakes.

This place is hell on earth. Did absolutely nothing about horrific bullying and totally failed in their duty of care.

This school was and still is a joke. Principal does nothing but walk her dog around the school when there are staff members using their authority to control students into not allowing them to use the toilets, and pushing kids with mental health problems to their limits. Not to mention one of the Associate Principals has all the power to decide if he thinks you can do ATAR(even if you have ATAR grades), and has enforced from this year that kids he believes are fit to do atar must excell in the pre- atar classes of English, Maths, Science, and HASS. Even if you don’t want to do one of those ATARs you are still required to pass highly in all pre atar subjects. The school also has a very high amount of untrained teachers in their feild, most with degrees in science or hass being put in food tec, media, maths, and english departments due to the high rate of teachers leaving. I do not recommend this school to children with learning difficulties or mental health issues as, most teachers don’t read IEPs or are unaware of student having them, usually ending if high stress situations with teachers. Also has recently been put a toilet ban in place, with a teacher guarding each toilet at breaks and only allowing 2 students in at a time, and locking the toilets during class time. Making lines for the toilets ridiculous. I do not recommend this school for anyone as I have has to go to the school multiple times for bullying incidents which Head Of Years don’t take seriously until you go down there yourself and argue what is happening is wrong. Its my sons last year at the school and I recently moved my youngest to another school due to the many issues I have has with woodvale in the past. Stay safe choosing a high school for your children!

the school is ok it have nice teacher and all but the can’t not explain anything even what u did wrong in the test. we have sweet people down in student services but they could calm down the are rude at times

I hated it the school barley does anything against bullying like you can tell the the year a coordinator but they dont do anything until you actually get into a punching fight.
